The study emphasized on trends in vocational education and training and support mechanisms in the transition process in order to develop recommendations for improving relevant state aid programmes. In a first step, central statistical information was analysed, especially related to demand and offer of in-company training facilities and their relevant determining factors. In a second step, relevant support programmes in the field of dual vocational edcuation and training were evaluated.
